      How it works

      1. Paste a word list. One word per line, commas work too. 3–30 words is the sweet spot; longer words are placed first.
      2. Pick a grid and difficulty. 10 × 10 for grade 1, 15 × 15 for most classes, 20 × 20 and up for fast finishers. Forward-only, forward + backward, or all eight directions.
      3. Print. You get a puzzle sheet and, on the next page, the same grid with every word underlined plus its start row and column. A4 and US Letter are both one click away.

      What you get on paper

The grid is sized in millimetres, not pixels, so the printed puzzle fills the page without ever spilling onto a second sheet: 12 mm cells for a 15 × 15, 7.4 mm for a 25 × 25, 4.2 mm for a 30 × 30 landscape sheet. Every word is placed on a real line — no accidental near-misses — and the filler letters are checked against a list of words you would not want a class to find.

Words you type are never sent anywhere: the generator runs in your browser.

      Questions

      Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no watermark across the puzzle, no page limit. The footer carries the site name so a photocopy can be traced back.

Can I use the puzzles in class or at home?

Print as many copies as you need for your own classroom, tutoring or family. Reselling the sheets or the PDFs is not allowed.

Do the answer keys match the puzzle?

They are generated from the same layout data, so every key is the exact grid you printed, with the words underlined.

      What if I need a ready-made pack?

The printable packs are five-sheet collections on a theme, each with its own answer keys, already typeset and ready to hand out.
